Surroundings

• Best Colors = Bright or fluorescent
• Natural vs. man-made
• Avoid blending with landscape
• Poor = Purple on brown
• Good = Orange/yellow near brown

• Wind patterns
• Precipitation
• Blue sky vs. Cloud cover/darkness
• Typical or Atypical forecast

Time of Day

• Early morning, midday, afternoon
• Extended events: pre-dawn, sundown, evening
• Sun glare, back lit, or direct sunlight

Helpful Additions

• Stripes: Easiest to apply
